Beauty and integrity in garden design

Our ethos at Deadhead Studio is to create beautiful gardens and landscapes with a strong focus high quality design whilst reusing, repurposing and recycling materials already available to you in your current outdoor space.

Our design will be based on your needs and desires, suggesting suitable hard landscaping materials allowing you the freedom to source them locally to you.

Plants will be recommended that are suited to your location with a focus on plants that match your expectations of beauty whilst critically helping to support and sustain the local biodiversity. This means that there is likely to be a mix between both native and non native plants.

Where possible we will reuse existing materials within the design, or opt for recycled or reclaimed materials whilst always ensuring that the overall carbon footprint of the garden is kept as low as possible.

We pride ourselves on our flexibility to create designs that range from contemporary to traditional or a seamless blending of the two, all sympathetic to your surroundings.

We are able to produce accurate renders of what potential lighting solutions will look like in your garden to take the guess work out of this critical step in the design.

Most importantly, the plans we produce are easy to understand and translate into the finished garden.

Make it stand out

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Founder of Deadhead Studio, Ben, completed a Diploma in Garden Design at Writtle College in 2009 and has gone on to imagine and create gardens for numerous private customers. His early designs featured hand drawings. Ben also brings experience of working for a large UK retail organisation, supporting project management of both new builds and large refurbishments refining his knowledge of how to implement a project from end-to-end. He has applied this knowledge to garden design and contract management of garden builds. This provides Ben with insight to both the design and construction phases so that gardens can readily be taken from plan to reality. Whilst Ben still enjoys drawing by hand, and often starts the creative process this way, as technology has advanced so has design and the focus now is on delivering 3D visuals. A father and environmental enthusiast, Ben wants to share his passion for enhancing our outdoor spaces, sustaining the beauty around us for generations to come.
